About the Role:
Our client is one of the pioneers in renewable energy and this is a fantastic opportunity to join their team in a time of huge growth and expansion. They are looking for an enthusiastic Technical Support Engineer Manager to join their rapidly growing team in the UK. They are looking for a driven, reliable, decisive individual who can technically support the sales team and their clients. The ideal candidate will be a customer friendly, motivated, well organised and pro-active individual with a deep understanding of solar panels technologies, PV systems, PV software and storage systems.

Duties:
•    Able to lead and build a technical team
•    Able to select and add products to company portfolio 
o    Training colleagues and clients
o    Preparing documents – technical and explanatory
o    Taking care of certification 
o    Liaising with R&D and product management team 
•    Design of systems in various design programs
•    Drawing up quotations in SAP in consultation with the Account Managers
•    Overseeing and managing Support Engineer(s) who are:
o    First Line Technical Support Engineers who support clients on site and through service calls
o    Handling and solving technical problems of existing installations
o    Handling service calls 
o    Providing technical training and explaining technologies and technical details to clients and colleagues
o    Draw up technical documents (technical procedures, technical specifications and technical presentations)

Candidate requirements:
•    Relevant degree/qualification and electrical engineering background
•    Minimum 6 years’ experience in technical engineering functions
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•    Comfortable with main IT packages, SAP Enterprise, Outlook, MS Teams, CRM (Salesforce)
•    You are strong in providing advice to installers and are service-oriented;
•    You have extensive knowledge of solar panel technologies, inverters storage systems and mounting materials
•    You are a team player, you like supporting colleagues to achieve team goals, share information and share technical knowledge
